We’re going thru our CD/DVD collection and this title caught my eye. I believe it’s something that our nutrition students might find interesting. The same data from our CDs and more is available on the food surveys tab of the USDA website.
This caught my eye, What’s in the Foods You Eat Search Tool, 3.0. You can find nutrient profiles for 13,000 commonly eaten foods in the U.S. Very cool!
I’m still finding useful information. Go to the Shopping, Cooking & Meal Planning section for:
- finding healthy foods
- reading & understanding food labels
- ethnic cooking
- cooking methods & recipes
- food storage & preservation
- emergency food supplies (do we really need to stock up on bread & milk when we think it might snow?)
Lots of great information!
